I thought I should send you all an update on whats happening at Bow Bench Retreat, we’ve had a very busy winter and spring, with classes and retreats. Our Retreat at Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino was so much fun we booked another one next April. Below is a photo of all the lovely ladies and their projects, there is still room if you’d like to join us next year, April 5 – 9, 2018.
We are hosting a summer “Judy” retreat at the Lazy M Lodge near Caroline July 24 – 28, there are still a few spaces left if you’d like to join us for a day workshop or stay the whole week. This is a beautiful place, sure to inspire your creative flow, the hospitality is amazing, the food is delicious. Bring a friend or 2 and enjoy a creative get away.
I recently attended the Festival of Quilts in Lethbridge, my associate Martha Penner and I shared a booth in the Merchants Mall, what an amazing show! The ladies in the Lethbridge Guild should be proud of their work, the show was wonderful. “Judy’s” patterns were well represented in the show. I enjoyed seeing some familiar faces and meeting many new “Judy” addicts!
The next Technique of the Month class: Vintage Rose, starts in September, this is a monthly Saturday class, you will learn a new technique every class, at the end of 6 months you will put the quilt together and have enough knowledge to tackle most of Judy’s other patterns. Space is limited so sign up today. Class fees include the pattern.
Bow Bench Retreat will be closed for the summer , the weekly Wednesday sew days will resume Wednesday, September 6. The next 12 hour creating on the Bow Saturday is June 17, these sew days will resume Saturday, September 16, Saturday October 21, Saturday November 18 and Saturday December, 16.
Remember that Bow Bench Retreat is available to rent to groups for your own private retreat, the studio is fully equipped with ironing stations, cutting stations, kitchen and bathroom. Although there is not overnight accommodations you are welcome to bring your RV’s and have a campout. Contact Nancy for more information.
Quiltworx has published many new patterns and fabric lines, I hope to offer many classes this fall, so stay tuned, I will have most of the patterns at Bow Bench available to purchase.
