DESCRIPTION:Create our own sparkling gem using the same techniques that artist and designer JM KInman has used to create her giant gem quilts for over 20 years.You’ve read about MJ’s gem quilts in Quilting Arts Magazine and McCall’s Quilting magazine\, and you may have seen her on Quilting arts TV and The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. Now MJ has created patterns that allow all of us to bring a little bling into our lives.  Through her use of color and contrast\, MJ has created patterns that will delight your senses and are a blast to put together even for the new quilt maker. \nThis isn’t your typical foundation paper piecing. DESCRIPTION:You’ve had so much fun making the monthly birthstones now its time to create your own personalized jewel.  This is MJ Kinman’s latest pattern and it is exclusive to Gem Affiliates\, you cannot purchase this pattern anywhere\, it is included as part of the class. Nancy\, A Gem Affiliate representing MJ Kinman\, Textile Artist will teach you  techniques to understand value and color placement of fabrics in your jewel so you can personalize and create your own Octagon Rose. \nClass Date:  Monday May 11\, 2020  10am – 4pm \nClass fee $45 (includes pattern) \nSupplies: \nBasic sewing supplies (rotary cutter\, scissors\, pins\, seam ripper etc.) \nsewing machine\, pedal\, cord \nFabrics in your choice of colors\, (scraps are perfect)  bring a variety of values and shades so you can play with placement and experiment with different colors. \nLunch (Snacks\, coffee\, tea and water provided)
