SUMMARY:Dinner Plate Dahlia Workshop 6 Classes
DESCRIPTION:In 2018\, Quiltworx.com designed its fifth “Technique of the Month” pattern. The Dinner Plate Dahlia quilt brings together a wide-range of techniques for Foundation Paper Piecing\, leaving students with the ability to move on to many other Quiltworx patterns once they have completed this design. Because of Judy’s dedication to teaching\, she has also gone through the steps to provide training for our  Certified Instructors so they can provide training to their students as a  weekly program that includes consecutive workshops ranging from 6 to 8 classes\, depending on the class structure. These classes will helpyou understand the process and steps needed to complete the pattern. \nThe Dinner Plate Dahlia includes many of Judy’s techniques for paper piecing\, including cutting\, stacking\, chain piecing\, curved paper-piecing\, smart corners\, the use of Transition and Registration Point (TRP) Lines\, and our newest technique\, curved strip piecing. \nJoin Certified Instructor Nancy Strath as she teaches this pattern in  a slower pace\, 6 workshops over 4 months.  Every class you will start a new booklet learning new techniques every class.\, and as you complete them you will  join to the next unit\, with the goal of putting at least one section together over the program  . \nWorkshop dates:  \nThursday August 29\, 2019  10:00am – 5:00 pm    Booklet 2 (Booklet 1 is introduction and general information) \nThursday September 19\, 2019 10:00am – 5:00 pm  Booklet  3 \nThursday October 3\, 2019\, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm  Booklet 4 \nThursday October 17\, 2019\, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Booklet 5 \nThursday November 7\, 2019\, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Booklet 6 \nThursday December 12\, 2019\, 10:00am – 5:00 pm Assembly and catch up \nWorkshop  Cost :  $75/class or $400 total prepaid for all classes  \nPattern Cost: \nWall size (80″x80″)  $135 \n Queen size (100″ x 100″)  $170” \nThe pattern is broken down into 6 separate booklets Nancy will demonstrate how to prepare\, organize and cut your fabrics\, papers and templates\, at every class. You will learn to sew the units in the booklet\, and should finish at least one unit in class\, so that at the end of the program you will have assembled a quarter of the entire quilt\, if you are diligent about keeping up with homework and completing all the other units at home in between classes you should be able to complete the entire quilt top at the end of the program. \n                   \n
