Free Motion Quilting – Let’s Get Started. Spend the morning learning the basics of 5 shapes that make up all FMQ designs and the foundation for all future FMQ. We’ll cover the basic mechanics of FMQ, and how to stitch the 5 basic shapes. We’ll then take what we’ve learned and put these shapes together into a variety of unique quilting motifs.  We’ll spend the rest of the day working on your small quilting project and put into practice what you learned in the morning.

• How to prepare and layer your quilt
• How to set up your machine for Free Motion Quilting
• How to draw and stitch the 5 basic shapes
• How to combine the shapes into a variety of different quilting motifs
• Work on a small quilt (table runner or baby size) to practice what you’ve learned
